How do I repartition into one big partition?

Hi,

I have two partitions and I want to make it one big partition. how do i do that?

You need some third-party software to do so without losing data, Partition Magic is an option, it's not free though.
Another option may be converting to dynamic partitions, don't know exactly how to do so, hopefully someone else can tell.

If you have XP you can do it from disk management in control panel but you will lose the data on the partition you delete. Check the XP help file under "partition".

Backup up the data, shuffle the partitions, and restore the data.

thanks guys. i bought a new HDD anyways today. but hey, i read that Disk Management in Windows causes problems with Western Digitals... the WD disk rectifies this though, but do you guys know the problem???

I guess the question has been answered. If someone wanted to delete all the partitions on a drive they could use a program called aefdisk that can be found at aefdisk.com. It's really easy. Just boot from a win98 floppy and run aefdisk using the /delall switch. It's the easiest way I know of to clear a drive quickly.
