Whenever I shut down WIN 2K it takes a long time while the screen displays a message that it is "Saving settings...."

If I go to task manager and End Task on DSSAGENT.EXE, the system shuts down very quickly. What is DSSAGENT.EXE and how do I keep it from loading when I boot my system?

Broderbund got so many complaints about this dssagent "feature" that it now provides a removal tool.

Go to this page and download "cleanbc.exe." I've used it on several systems and it did its job.
