Exclamation Unexpected_Kernel_Mode_Trap....????

I have been having the problem of my laptop (1 Ghz, 256 ram, 40 gig hdd) resetting on me with a blue screen, and giving me the following error

STOP: 0X0000007F(0X00000008,0X0000000,0X00000000)
UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP
Beginning dump of physical memory
Physical memory dump complete, contact your system administrator or technical support group.

Any ideas???? Is my RAM going to hell in a hand basket???

Most likely is the memory, download a memory tester and see how it checks out. Here is one. HTH
