I have Windows 2000. When I try to fax a document with Word, it doesnt do anything. I go through all the steps and set it to send the fax now, but when I click finish, it doesnt get sent. All that happens is the fax queue comes up for about 10 seconds and then disappears. When I click on it(the fax queue icon), it comes up showing the fax and its says "send" next to it but thats it. IT doesnt matter what fax program I use with Word either, it does the same thing. I can send a fax using the fax programs themselves, but not from within Word. Why wont Word send the fax? Also, how do you get to the fax queue?
Thanks, Bigron |

Have you tried printing the document to the fax driver?

Open your Printers folder - any and all fax programs installed should have installed a driver. The stock Windows 2000 fax driver is just called "Fax". Winfax Pro will be called "Winfax Pro". Decide which fax program you want to use and make a note of its name in the printers folder.
To fax a Word document, click on the File menu, choose Print. Select the fax program you want to use in the printer selection dropdown window and hit the OK button. |

I did that, and still, nothing happens. The fax queue just says send next to it but doesnt send it. Like I said before, if I send the fax through the fax utility itself, it works fine. Any other suggestions?
