XP Slow on Loading
Just recently I have down loaded quite a few XP updates, my P C now seems to be much slower than before,
Is there a known update that slow's down your PC Also is there a way I can keep the update's that I have down loaded, if there is, i can try to take then off one at a time untill I find the culprit Cheers

Q811493 is the culprit. Uninstall it, then get the updated update fixed one from windowsupdates.

I was told that XP will run slow when you load up on programs until it "learns" your preferences and commands. Then it will begin to idle parts that do not get a lot of usage and concentrate on the frequently used programs. This is supposed to make it go faster because it will not always need to go through programs and commands you do not use.
