accessing user account's files

Hello

I am having problem accessing my own documents. its a long story..

I swapped two CPU's. XP didnt run the second one,so i put the old one back on. XP loads, but after the boot screen,i see the cursor, and blank screen. I reinstalled the OS..I used the same user name.
My account's documents folder is still there, but I can't open it. (had a password on). I can get to other accounts folders without passwords.

So, how do i open my old folder? I know the password...I need my valuable files back! (no,no pornlol)

/ o also, when I go to User Accounts, "a critical error" occurs. and it doesnt open.

/ let say old user account was XP, this new one is automatically called XP.NewPCName.
