bottom line- no - the key is not extractable from your install.

go o newegg and buy an oem copy for about 100 including some hardware to qualify for the OEM copy

sorry

If you have the OS installed download AIDA32 and it will show you the product key under Operating System.

Cool

If your system is working the download lil jimmie gave you will tell you what the key is. If XP is not working then the download wouldn't do you much good.

Cool

Before spending the money, you might try slave the drive to the computer you are now using and do some Google searches to find data on the slaved drive.

They won't help you because this story sounds like a scam. Whether you are being truthful or not, if you don't have the OEM they will hear nothing about it.

Cool

You have to register/activate, otherwise it quits working in 30 days.

You have to activate within 30 days otherwise it quits working. Registering your copy is optional.

No, it won't stop working if you do not register your copy, but it will quit working if you do not activate it.

BTW I'm in New Mexico also.
