OS off external HD
So my roomate keeps saying he's gonna run XP off an external HD for his laptop this summer (his internal is only 10GB). I told him thats a bad idea, mainly cause externla HDs are much slower than internals. He wants to learn Linux and put that on his internal HD.
A few questions: Is it a good idea? Can you even boot from an external HD? Am I right in saying it would be super slow? Last edited by ogrerocks; 06-04-2003 at 11:45 PM. |
