Do I upgrade to XP

I use the pc mostly for gaming, and some surfing. I am running 98SE. Would upgrading to XP have a good or bad effect on these uses?

Radeon 9500 Pro

A definate increase in gaming performance. I have now abandoned 98SE and have made XP my sole gaming O/S for windows-based games.

For surfing (if you're on dial-up) it's more stable than 98SE. Not much of a speed difference, though.

Bite the bullet and upgrade. You won't regret it.

Just a word of warning: some old DOS games will be hard to get to work or won't work at all in the brave new OS.

Consider this. All future equipment and software will be optimized for XP so you will have to do it anyway. Plus apparently XP is more broadband compatible so you will gain a few milliseconds gaming online.
