Monitoring CPU temp within XP
Is it possible to monitor CPU, HDD, overall temperature from within XP? Either a separate program (preferably freeware) or a function within the OS itself?
Many thanks in advance. |

Try out the free version of Sisoft's SANDRA from www.sisoftware.co.uk. The version you want is SANDRA 2003 Standard. It will give you data on system temps and a lot of other stuff besides.
Another great program is AIDA32 from www.aida32.hu. This is also a free program and will give you a lot of info on your system. NPP

I guess I don't know why you don't just use the utility that comes with every motherboard produced in the last couple of years.

You could have saved a lot of time mentioning the model and the fact it was a laptop. I don't believe that model has temperature sensing capability. I suspect you won't be monitoring the temperature, that's the reason a utility to do so wasn't included!
