XP HOME Install Errors

DRIVER_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

When you get this error on a clean install after creating and formatting partitions what do you suggest to fix it?

Pull all the addon cards except for the video card and give it a try. If that doesn't work look at the RAM as a problem and if you have more than one stick pull it out during the install.

The first thing I did was pull all the I/O cards out except the Video card. I will try removing one stick of memory at a time and see if that makes a difference. I have read that XP doesnt like mismatched RAM. I have also read about problems with ACPI.

I already downloaded and flashed the latest BIOS

I had everything working in Win98.......

I can always reinstall Win98?

What a pain!

I will let you know what happens.

Asus A7V266-E
One stick of Crucial PC2100 128 Megs
One stick of Crucial PC2100 256 Megs
Radeon 9000
