Windows XP Start Menu Problem?
Hi,
First off, sorry for the long post. I have this wierd problem with my start menu. On this one user profile, which is the one I regularly use, I cannot get a context menu (right click) in the start menu programs list when I use the native Windows XP start menu. But when I switch to the classic start menu, the right click works fine. This problem does not exist on either of the other two profiles on this same machine. Also, on the profile with the problem, I cannot drag and drop within the start menu. It's as though the start menu had been locked against changes, but i do not remember changing anything to make it that way. This has only been happening for the past two or three days. BTTW, I am running a theme from Lightstar, but it does not seem to have anything to do with the problem, as it also happens when Windows XP's own theme is running. OS is Windows XP Pro Corporate SP1a. Any thoughts? All help appreciated. Thanks in advance NPP

andyms18a,
Your suggestion worked right off. I can now drag and drop. Matter of fact it fixed the right click problem too. So I now have both features working perfectly. I guess it has to do with the menu being locked if you disable drag and drop. Thanks heaps, NPP By the way, could you maybe come over and beat my head in with a baseball bat for being so stupid? Guess it goes to show you should really look around before bothering someone else. Thanks again!!!!
