XP problem during SP1 installation

Hi,

Fixed my system, and am now up and running.

However, when I go to install Service Pack 1, the files download, but after installation I get the error message "Failed to install catalog file" or something to that extent.

I searched the Microsoft Support Database but all results I found only applied to Win2k.

Any ideas how to fix this?

Thanks...

P.S. Could not having SP1 installed have anything to do with DirectX 9 not installing either? I get the "This software has not passed Logo test and will not be installed" message when I try that.

Thanks again,

Odie

When the message appears click on "continue anyway". Try to install SP1 again.
