Win2k get bluescreen at shutdown

Well I just did a build for my dad. Specs are: XP1700 Asus A7N266-VM AA, 1 stick 512 Kingston PC2100 (yeah, I should got two 256 sticks instead), WD 40gb, and Win2K. I'm using the onboard video and sound.

So here is my problem. When I shut the computer down I get a blue screen that says something about "Physical Memory Dump contact vendor." I'll try to read it faster tomarrow, my eyes are tired tonight.

Thing is when I first built it all it ran great. I didn't get this blue screen after I first loaded up the OS and Mobo Drivers. I was installing software such as Roxio CD creator 5 and PC-Cillin Anti-Virus. I remember getting an error message before this started to happen that said something like "A windows file has been replaced and could cause instability problems. Instert your Win2K CD now." I put in my Win2K cd and hit the ok on the box. Nothing happened, the CD just auto-ran to the install and browse CD screen.

I thought about booting with my Win2K cd and trying a repair. I don't think Its hardware related but I could be wrong.

If I left anything out please let me know. Thanks a bunch in advance.

See if anything here helps. There's a section on Roxio related problems near the top. The page is for WinXP, but the troubleshooting tips should work for Win2000.

Hey thanks a lot cricket. That link really helped me out. I guess it was Roxio that was causing the bluescreen. I just DL the update and there is no more blue screen at shutdown.
