Is is possible to upgrade from Windows XP Home edition to Windows XP Pro full (not the upgrade), without reformatting ?

Yes, probably the smoothest upgrade there is.
Might I ask why you want to go XP Pro? What does it have that Home doesn't that you need so badly? |

Is it just me today, but it seems to take forever to open the pcmech home page. But the surfing within the web page is ok.
Also, what does (7-bit) beside my nick mean ? |

The site isn't slow for me.
The "7 bit" refers to your level, based on the number of posts you have. It would take seven binary bits to count how many posts you have (70). As you post more, the level goes up. |

This site has been slow for me last couple of weeks. Today at 4:15 it is particularly slow.
