roaming user profiles

I'm trying to go through the steps outlined in the following article:

http://support.microsoft.com/default...;en-us;Q314478

However, when I go to "change type", somewhere near the beginning I think, the roaming option is greyed out.

Is it possible to have roaming users on a workgroup, or do you need a domain?

Keys,

You need to make sure that you copy a legitimate Documents and Setting sprofile into your shared profile folder because a remote machine cannot alter these without them being there in the first place!

You need to get into Computer Management, change the Properties for that user and then click Profile path, and change that value to the shared folder of your profile, the profile should then automatically be a 'Roaming Profile'

Yes it works on Workgroups not just domains

Let me know if you have any more trouble

Jim
