Dritek ?
Has anyone ever received an error message about
Dritek Keycode Receiver for Solid Year ? Something about needing to uninstall it completely in Control panel > add or remove programs..... BUT.... it doesn't exist on my system and I have never heard of it before. When I look up Dritek on the www, I get japanese language sites and only one in English and no one will respond to my questions about drivers, etc. I have discerned that it is about one-touch keyboard drivers, but I still don't know why it has popped up now and never before. I have a DEXXA keyboard (internet touch keys), and we bought it in Holland a couple of years ago, but DEXXA doesn't seem to have a working web site at all!!!!! Anyone? |

Uncheck the keyboard option in Startup and see if the error stops, if so, then you know it has to do with the keyboard.

Go to www.jv16.org and download Regcleaner, in the first window you see when you run it will be everything installed on the computer. Page down and see if you can find an entry for this and then highlight it and clean it. Then in the start-up tab look to see if it exisits in this winddow and delete it. Finally run the registry cleaner and delete the out of date entries.

Hello, I downloaded the Regcleaner and did all that you said, but the Dritek file does not exist anywhere. I went ahead and ran the registry cleaner on all and deleted the unused ones, but nothing has changed.
I even found the one for Dexxa (my keyboard), but it didn't come up with anything informative or strange. Thank you, but do you have any other ideas? The strange part is that others have had this weird error message, because you can look it up out on the web, but no one seems to have info on it or WHY it would come up now. I did recently have extreme problems, (see my other posting from yesterday re: "weird shutdown and reboot sequence" and this is when this message starting popping up. Confused. |

Thank you morriswindgate, but I was already there a couple of days ago, and still cannot follow this link: c:\HP\PROGRAMS\ONETOUCH\SETUP.EXE. -- because it is not on my computer. Don't know why this is supposed to be the fix.
Alternatively, I don't know how to follow the msconfig options since I already tried the various selective startup options and it didn't change anything. Any other ideas? Kinda pulling my hair out here. kphelps |
