Wierd Windows XP Pro "delay" problem
Hey guys,
I am starting to have this little problem and its really annoying me. My computer boots up in about 15 seconds, no joke. RIGHT when the computer boots up, all my main startup apps load, which I only have like 3 selected in msconfig startup. (AIM, DU Meter, etc.) Anyways, if I click on say Internet Explorer, which usually opens immediately, I see a little timer thing and then it justs goes away. I try my computer and the same thing happens. I try ANY other non microsoft related program, such as Mozilla, Opera, Games, AIM, anything, and they all work as they should, although Outlook Express opens normally. After about 2-3 minutes, EVERYTHING I clicked on will open at once, (The IE's, my computers, networking, etc.) and it will just be a big glob on my screen. I don't know why it does this, but its really annoying. I am thinking that it has something to do with explorer and I might have disabled something in startup. Got any ideas? Dave |

sounds like maybe bad memory or a bad memory set up. try testing your memory using Mindbeat. What set up do you have? How much and what brand? etc.

I have 1GB of Kingston PC2700 DDR.
I thinked I fixed the problem though. In MSCONFIG startup I had disabled RUNDLL and that was messing everything up. Wierd. Dave |
