Unhappy URGENT HELP NEEDED;How to reinstall Win2k when your cd-roms does not work

Hello,
I have quite a problem at hand with my brother's computer,he has not used this computer in months and when he finally turned it on recently, both of his cd rom drives are no more recognized by windows, now I know I can just try to make the cd-drive work again someway, but unfortunately this computer has way more problems than this cd-rom task at hand so reinstalling Win2k fully would just help alot

PLEASE do help I hate this computer in all mankind and I'm starting to twitch already.

when the computer starts, are the cdroms showed in the post screen? if yes, then you could boot form your 2k cdrom and format then reinstall win2k. if not, then maybe a ribbon cable is loose in the case.
