Boot to your Bios, set it to boot to your cdrom and load the XP CD then exit. During the setup you will get to partition and format your HDD then install XP.

Insert a system disk and restart the computer. When the computer finally starts (In DOS) type format C:

in the middle of format and c there is a space

First back up all important files, documents etc. If your XP is not an upgrade then go into BIOS setup and make the CD Rom the first boot device. Restart your computer and boot to the XP cd. Follow the instructions, It will prompt you to format, delete or create a partition. It's up to you but personally I would delete the FAT32 partition then create and format a NTFS partition. This would provide a more reliable system. Once the formatting is complete either FAT32 or NTFS just follow the rest of the installation instructions. Be sure to set your BIOS back to it's original boot sequence.
This is an over-simplified explaination but it should make a descent guideline. HTH Good Luck
