Boom Invalid VxD

On my Windows 98se machine, I just installed a linksys wireless adapter, when I restarted my machine I got this error:

Invalid VxD dynamic link call from vsdata98(01) + 0014F88 to device "0028" service 8004

Can anyone tell, me what this means, and how I can fix it.
-I can boot up in safe mode

I figured this on my own, after some googling. It had something to do with uninstalling Zone Alarm.
I went into control panel add/remove windows programs, unchecked communactions, then recheked. That did the trick.
