my computer slowed down

My computer ran fine till one day it started runing really slow.
I dont know all my specs because I have a cheap clone and im not the one who bought it but this is what i know:

-Windows ME
-1.3 pentium 4
-64MB DDR Ram at 800MHz (X2)(which is wierd because my computer tells me i got 127.44MB instead of 128MB)
-Nividia GeForce2 MX/MX 400
-38GB Hard Drive (dont know the speed)
-160W power supply

I also run NAV and NIS. I dont have much runing in the background.( the game "diablo2" ran well but now its slow even though it only needs 64MB of ram)

Have you scanned for spyware and trojans? Is your NAV definitions up to date?

Did you run scandisk and defrag?

How long has that installation of WinME been on your computer without a format and reinstall?

Do you have many apps running in the background? Or alot of items that start up? Use msconfig to clean up the apps that start up, and that will help eliminate anything else running in the backround.

Did my eyes play tricks on me or didn't you have your startup posted?
