Can't download from web site's

I'm running XP and just hocked up a Linksys wire less cable modem and can't download anything from the web. When I try to download it looks like it's trying to, but all I get is a hour glass for a long time. I have the Hub hocked up to a Lap Top and have no problum downloading on that. On my Desk Top I have the router hocked up and can't download. Can you help me with this matter, thanks.

do you have the winxp built in firewall enabled if so try to disable it open the conect to folder and find the conection to the router right click go to properties advanced and remove the tick for fire wall as you have a router it has a hardwair firewall witch is just as good as the xp built in one

Can you download when you bypass the hub? Have you tried a different port on the hub (what are the LED indicators doing)? What troubleshooting have you tried?

You can try this and see if it helps:

Right click on the Local Area Connection or Wireless Network Connection on your network adapter and then click on the "Remove from Bridge" option. Restart and see if it works.

Have you had any luck? Do you mean Control Panel > Network connections?
