me again
ok so i am working on win3.1 (actually 3.11 workgroups for windows) as i stated in previous thread and have dos and windows back on the pc but i still cannot get it to recognize the cd-rom ..it does not show up as a drive ..tried the website for it(mitsumi brand) and d\l the drivers, but they said in the readme files that it was not for 3.11 or a drive with dblspace on it (which i ran after installing dos , but before i d\l the drivers ) oops, now which direction should i head first ,,just more reading to learn more about pc and how they work or ???? any suggestions would be helpful i can edit the autoexec.bat and the config.sys because for some reason the driver instal put a (rem) before the proper lines in these files which i know tells the comp. to ignore that line ......here is what i have done so far .....fdisk the pc ..install dos ..install win3.11...... install drivers...what next? Dick and because this is all too stressful i need a laugh(see attached pic)

Please keep issues tied to one thread... it gets confusing when it's spread around.
Is this drive connected to a sound card or directly to the motherboard?
