Installing Win98 on Win95 System: cd recognized as Audio?
A friend's father is trying to update their win95 system to win98. The cd is being recognized as Audio and when explored it displays Track01.
Can someone advice? Thanks |

Just a question, scooby, but is this a retail CD or a CD copy? Almost sounds like a messed up copy...

Hi scooby,
I guess the next question is, have you seen the install attempt or is this from word-of-mouth? If it's word-of-mouth, you may want to go over there and see what's going on. Believe it or not, I've seen people trying to install stuff with the wrong CD in the tray! HTH TwoRails |

Yeah it's from word of mouth. They tell me when the place another cd for any application it launches. When they place the 1998 they say it lauches the CD player. I had them explore the D drive and they see Track01 instead of all the files......this i find very odd. I may have to go out there.

It does sound like the best bet... Since it's a friend, you'll get some pizza and beer, or tea and cookies while spending some time with them
