Which way should I format?

Hey guys

I was wondering if it made a difference whether I formatted a HDD partition through windows XP (by righclicking the drive) or should i do it through the Blue Screen of Life (boot with the XP disc)??? I am guessing that it probably doesn't even matter... Just want to be safe. BTW the Blue Screen method will allow for NFTS or FAT32 and the WindowsXP method will allow only NFTS. NFTS is what I want anyway....

It really doesn't matter. Only partition that has to be formatted under the blue screen is the system partition where you install windows. That is the only partition that can't be formatted under windows itself.

You must have the partition created though. From Win you cannot format unpartitioned HD space.

Thanks guys. Everything went great.

What is mirroring? I am guessing that it is when you save a doc to a HDD it saves that doc to another HDD simultaneously? How do I set that up?
