Disk Check upon Startup (Before Logon Screen)?

Hi my system is automatically starting up into checking the system disks before I can log on, I have the option to stop this by pressing any key within 10 seconds but I just don't want it to do it full stop.

Any ideas?

I have just recently split my HD into 3 using Partition Magic 8

Cheers

It does it upon every startup regardless of whether I let it complete or not?

Any ideas?

It sounds like the Scheduled Task folder in Control Panel has chk disk set to run at every start up.
Have you looked at it yet ?

I had this happen once because I ran checkdisk from within windows. Try this. After windows starts go to Accessories>Command Prompt. At the command prompt type "chkdsk/f". You should get a message that "the volume is in use by another process, do you want to schedule Checkdisk the next time the system restarts?" Put a "N" in the prompt and then at the next prompt type "exit" and this should close that window.
