Impossible to install
Hi,
I have pulled an old HP out of my closet and tried to set it up to run again. The problem is I cannot install any OS on it. I try 2k and it goes through the first setup stage where it copies the setup files to the HDD and requires a restart to continue... the problem is that whenever I restart, it simply does it again! It never continues where it left off. I tried everything, I used XP instead and it does the same thing. I pop the CD out after the first reboot and the computer says "NO OS FOUND". Restart w/ the CD in, it goes through the first setup again. I must have done that over 10 times literally. Help!!! Thank you in advance.. |

Hi Rodney,
I did that and it didnt work... turns out I had to change my jumper from "master" to "single"... the BIOS wasnt recognizing the drive, even though the Windows Setup could write to it... strange, but thank you for leading me in the right direction! |
