Question inaccessible boot device on win 2000! What does it mean?

Ive got this computer and now when I try to boot up, I get a blue stop screen that says "inaccessible boot device". Does anyone know how to remedy this so I can boot up my computer? I cant even get to safe mode! Ive tried last known good configuration as well.
Thanks,
Bigron

Did you change any hardware or install new drivers?

I think the problem lies in the harddrive. Make sure it is jumpered and installed correctly and the IDE cable is attached at both ends firmly. You might also want to try another IDE cable. If that does not work try repartitioning and reformatting the harddrive and reinstalling the OS. If that fails then try another harddrive.

Could be that your harddrive has went south or at least the boot sector is gonzoed. Try a boot from the winn 2000 disk and do a repair install...
