*ahem*....Hacking into accounts(don't shoot! im a white hat!)

my cousin got pissed with his parents and he locked them out of their Home account in WinXP Pro. The HOME account is an Administrator Accoount. how do i get in ?.... he is quite techno savy and i bet he doesnt use dictionary passwords. is there any other way other than John The Ripper software(password cracking software) |

If I understand you corectly...Why can't they log into the real "Admin" account and reset the password on the account that has admin privileges?

do you mean go into safe mode and then reset the password from the administrator account?

At the "Welcome" screen hit Alt, Ctrl, Del twice then log in as the Administrator. Go to Admin tools > Computrer Management > Local Users and Groups > Users and right click on the account and set the password.
