ActiveX Hell

I have a program that burns a card using a unit attached to my serial port. When I run the (VB) program I get the following error... Error (429) - ActiveX Component cannot create object.

It looks like this has something to do with the registry... Any ideas how to resolve this problem???

could you please give a bit more information on what the program is and what is the attachement to the serial port and what is this card you want to burn,

also which o/s you are useing to do this with.
