XP Pro boot disks
I created a boot disk through format a: /s
in xp pro. When I boot from the floppy it doesn't recognize the primary partition. Is it because of file system differences? I would think that xp boot disks would boot into an ntfs file system. Also when I type ver it says it's a windows ME command.com version. It's probably because I upgraded from ME. I guess my question would be: is there a way to create a boot disk that would allow me to access an NTFS partition? |

xp does not have dos in it
the boot disk only will give you the a prompt. there is no dos commands on the boot disk that you can use for anything except flashing the bios if you have the bios loaded on the floppy disk with it other than that you will not have any access to anything |
