ftp setup
Does anyone know how I can setup my own ftp? I want it to where i can have my freinds download stuff from me over an ftp server is there an easy way to set this up or use a program?

It's not hard to do. I set one up about a year ago. The first thing you want to do is check with your ISP and see if they allow you to do it. I got into some hot water when I set mine up. They didn't like it and told me to remove it.

If you get a server set up a good ftp program your friends could use is Smart FTP. It is free and just as good as any of the ones that actually require money. www.smartftp.com

I use Cerebus FTP Server.
http://www.cerberusftp.com/ It gives you basic FTP options, and that's you'll need if all you'll be doing is uploading files. |

I use Bulletproof FTP. Makes a good server.
If you download and install it, and don't understand what's going on, then I don't suggest you try and run an FTP server until you learn more about how they work. |

Reboot is right, Bulletproof is the server I used, worked great and little maintenance
