Jerky Fullscreens

Hi all,

Just wondering how I can prevent jerky graphics when playing full screen applications such as games...

The application runs as normal but the bottom quarter seems to flash and move slightly to the right in less than a second (very fast), its also intermittent. I cant really tell if it reaveals whats behind the application or weather it just shifts the screen a bit.

I've closed all running programs (except Norton Firewall, Antivirus etc.. etc..). I have also updated Direct X to the lastest version, no improvements.

Any ideas... at all?

Thanks in advance

I had the 'Windows XP' screensaver on with a 60Hertz refresh rate.

Still flickers and moves to the side....

my best guess is the vid cards not powerfull enough to play the game your having problams with or you have a strong magnetic field near the monitor move any speakers away from the monitor and try uping the refresh rate to 70 hopfuley
some one will jump in on this one with some moor idears
