Open in a new window, HELP!

This just happened ten minutes ago. I right clicked on a thread and opened it in a new window and it went to the taskbar. I click on the link on the taskbar and it jumps to the left top corner and vanishes. I have to right click on it and select maximize to bring it up. The question is, how to get it to come back up with one left click?

OS is XP Pro.

I hate it when restored windows stray away from the screen. Restored windows being a window that's isn't maximized or minimized, not referring to a windows system that is restored. Haha.
