Rearranging Taskbar
Normally the icons in the task bar are sorted so that the most recently opened program is on the right (if the taskbar is on the bottom of the screen).
But, is there a program that can rearrange the icons on the fly to the users taste? |

Not sure I understand your question. If you are using XP, right click the task bar/properties and you can customize the task bar however you want. If you are talking about the icons on the left side of the task bar by the start button, they can be arranged alphabetically just like programs can (start/programs/right click anywhere/sort by name). The icons in the task bar by the clock indicate what programs you have running and I believe will show up in the order you open the programs. I keep these to a minimum by editing start up programs and keep most of those icons hidden (task bar option). If you aren't running XP, I probably didn't do you any good at all! Hope it helps.
edit: If you want to hide some of the icons on the left of the task bar, enable the quick launch option. |
