Reformatting

What is the command to reformat my hdd from a dos prompt? The C: is my hard drive.

Format /? will show the (small) amount of info needed, ie format C: for C, D: for D, etc. This assumes format.com is at C:\ (the root), or a path to it is running. Or, you are at A: and the floppy has format on it. If it is an EBD boot floppy, format.com may be at the ramdrive location (in which case format.com is also inside the cab file on the floppy.

After the format, you may want to get the system files onto C: also, whcih is done the same way, ie SYS C:. Format and sys can be done in one step.
