Use Shop Vac in XP Pro?
I used this .bat file that Jim Delong (reboot) wrote on windows 98se and it worked great! Now that I work with XP Pro on my computer I’m not certain that it’ll work on an NT system! Has anyone run this on XP Pro? And if so, did it make a difference?

It simply won't work in XP. It might actually screw something up, but the first few lines, where it checks for user.dat and system.dat it will quit, because those files are not present in XP.
If you really want a good registry tool for XP, get RegScrubXP from Lexun freeware. If you have problems finding a download link, let me know. |
