SlowDown Problems with .zip files open
I have WindowsXP Home on this new build, and when I enter a .zip file and look around and try to select stuff in it I get major slowdown. Has anyone heard of this or have any fixes for it? Thank you.

Well, first of all, zip files are files that contained compressed files. So, in order to access them, they have to be uncompressed first, thus resulting in a little bit of a slow down. To speed things up, you could copy the files out of the zip file (ie - to my documents)

it might be because you dont have a proper unzipping prog like winzip or winrar. i have never used the internal unzipping in windows xp so it might be that.
