I was just putting all my pictures into various folders and noticed every folder I create contains a "thumb" file. Is this normal?

OK I had "show hidden files and folders" checked. That is why I suddenly seen them. I went into My computer/ tools /folder options and checked DON"t show hidden files and folders. All is good
