Is there a way to increase the number of days that you have to choose from, when restoiring the registry?
right now I have only 3 dates...could I have up to, say 10?

Open up Notepad and then go to File> Open> navigate to the Windows directory. Change the "Files of type:" to "All types *.*". Look for the scanreg.ini file and Open it. Look for "MaxBackupCopies=5" and change the 5 to whatever you want (up to 30 I think). Save the changes.

I'm not sure if you will be presented with 30 backups to choose from if you have to restore the Registry though (haven't done that in a long time so I don't remember).

thanks cricket
I haven't needed to regrestore in a long time either...just decided to take precautions...
(I just removed a nasty trojan that not only changed my dialing properties, but also turned down the volume on my modem so I couldn't hear it dialing out!!!)
