Controlling Startup Programs in XP

Is there a method to control what programs run on startup? More specifically, say one time you wanted to start with everything running, like anti-virus, firewall, etc... but the next time you start, can you not run all that stuff? Like maybe a profile / user for: Web surfing, another for gaming, another for video editing, etc..

???

TIA

That controls everything for each boot. I'm trying to figure out how to Log Off then log back in, but with different startup programs running.... Sorry... I should have been more clear.

No, it's my fault. You were clear, I just thought the MSconfig settings were different for each account. I guess not

it may be posable to make diffrent accounts for this then edit the run sections of the regerstry ie h key currunt user run and h key locall machean run and so on i wood think you nead to stop all the run and run once in locall machean then add the programs in currant user a good idear is to back up the reg to the root of the c drive so if it goes wrong you can use the recovery concall to restore it
