Error that appears about every hour

This error appears about every hour of my computer being on, no idea what caused it, I haven't downloaded anything lately, havent scanned for any virus' but am going to do that right now, Not real sure what is causing this, I searched on msn for help couldn't find anything related.

ok, its not every hour.. it just did it again.. 15 minutes later, sure is getting annoying.

affter a full virus scan first try systom restore if you dont get enuf time to run restor try booting to safe moad prees f8 to get the boot menue if that dont work try a repair install boot from your xpcd chose setup on the first screan and repair on the second

I did a restore to about 4 days ago, and didnt work, scanning now.. Hopefully find somehting

oh.. figured i'd mention.. on Cntrl Alt Delete, there are 6 svchost.exe running.. seems very odd.. I close out of them all, that error comes up..

Low level the drive and do a fresh install.

dont close any svchost.exe programs windows needs them all to work if you close any you will get problams

Huh? You mean install windows again? whats low level the drive? :P -- I dont have the windows cd, so that would be kind of hard

this is apparantly the fix, it happend to my friend and myself this week.

firewall is always nice to prevent this.

Well, that fix worked for a week or so.. and I got the error again today.. Did they find out ANOTHER hole in XP? Doesn't suprise me.. any fix for it?

Go to the windows update page and download all the critical updates. Happened to me this morning.

Boom

I tried that.. but there is NOTHING there to download, maybe i disabled it on msconfig to search for updates? Not sure... I do know I had alot of stuff to still download from it.. but now there is 0 Things there..
