Idle logout

i have windows xp, and when i leave my computer on, and dont do anything with it for around 30 minutes or so it reverts back to the logon screen. I stay logged on, and my windows stay open, but i was hoping to eliminate this effect, or make it stay longer before leaving the user. anyone know how to do this?

thanks

im guessing you have a screen saver enabled? i dont know how to do it properly, but ive found if you turn the screen saver off and just use monitor power off, it wont go back to the logon screen.

thanks for the help
when i went to change the screensaver i noticed a check box.

the box says "On resume, display welcome screen" im guessing if you uncheck that box it will work, and that is probably the proper way to do it.

THANKS
