How do I get rid of a DSL modem driver?

I got DSL and I pluged it in using the USB cable and it loaded up a driver, But I used the ethernet cable instead and the driver keeps making my computer have a serius error and I don't know where/how to get rid of it.

Thanks for any help.

I would do that but I had a lot of programs and configurations that I didn't want to lose.

Have you tried uninstalling the modem from the Device Manager?

It doesn't list it in the modem section.

Does Device Manager list any modems?

Try booting into Safe Mode and seeing what is listed. Remove all modem listings and then reboot.

Also look in Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs and see if you can uninstall the drivers from there.

I looked in device manager and it doesn't list any problems or conflicts, And I tried looking in the programs but I don't think it is listed as a program. I am going to try booting into safe mode.

Since it's a USB modem, look under the Universal Serial Bus Controllers heading in the Device List in Device Manager. It may likely have installed a separate port manager in that listing. If you find such a listing, remove it and reboot.
