Boom messed up my main Windows XP install...

I just threw in a second hard drive and figured I'd use the XP install disk to format it. Well apparently I chose the wrong thing and even though the option was to "repair" it tried to reinstall. Now when I reboot with out the CD it's at the XP setup screen and tells me to insert the CD.

It seems my only other option is the Recovery Console option from the XP Install CD which takes me to a dos command prompt -- problems I don't know what to do from there!?

I should have an restore point but I don't know how to access it. I tried booting into safemood but it wouldn't let me. If at all possible I'd like to avoid reinstalling so TIA for any help.
