Time for XP?
Ok, this is my first build and that's the reason some of my questions might be dumb. Sorry for this. So far I have put in all the hardware and booted up. Everything seems to be fine. But I need to know what to do now. Should I install WindowsXP now? Or do I need to install the motherboard and hard drive (lifeguard tools disk) software before the operating system? Thanks.

First install your OS, then the motherboard drivers, vid drivers, sound drivers, etc if necessary. It's not necessary to install the lifeguard tools.

You install WinXP now. Go into BIOS and change the first boot device to the CD-ROM drive. Put the WinXP CD in the drive and Save and Exit the BIOS. The system will reboot to the WinXP CD and the installer will take over, just follow the on-screen instructions.
You install the motherboard drivers after WinXP is installed. You don't even need to use that other disk with the tools on it. Cricket
