Angry Fire Random reboot, need help!!!!!

Suddenly my computer started having some random rebooting. First the screen goes blank as if the computer is not on and it sounds like everything has locked up so I restart it by pressing the button on the pc case. Also when I leave the computer on over night it does reboot by itself but I have no idea on how long it takes it for it to reboot by itself when the problem happens.

Once when the computer restarted back up it gave me that error pop up saying it was my Radeon 9600 drivers that caused a problem, I just bought it less than a month ago and I downloaded the lastest drivers from ATI.

Another thing is when I check the EVENT VIEWER in the ADMINISTRATIVE TOOLS in XP pro. Under System it gives and error at the exact time the computer had the problem. Here is what it says:

Source: ipnathlp
Event ID: 32003

Description: The Network Address Translator (NAT) was unable to request an operation of the kernel-mode translation module. This may indicate misconfiguration, insufficient resources, or an internal error. The data is the error code.

I've clicked on the link at the bottom but the microsoft thing said there is nothing available on that error.

So far that is all I know about the problem or whats been going on with my computer. Also one night I decided to turn off my cable modem in case it was someone from the outside but the problem still happened and I also checked my computer for that new worm thats out that can cause random reboots.

Sorry if its kind of long but I never had to result to asking anyone for an answer to my computer problem but this time I'm stuck and I have no idea what to do. Thanks for reading and trying to help.

hmm.. sounds like "Source: ipnathlp" could be derived from your Athlon processor?... having any heat problems? what are your current temps?

part of that other error string still sounds like it's all part of that damned bug... but since you said you've done all the Windows updates, it's hard to tell...

what brand and wattage of psu do you have?

I think some of the problem might have to do with the temperatures, my cpu temp before Win started was at 57c, which is obviously high, I checked inside my case and its pretty dusty in there specially where the heat sink is. I've just put a fan blowing at high speed on the case with the side open and so far no random reboot, I'm hoping thats all it is, I'm getting can of air tomorrow.

Video card overheating?

could possibly be the graphics card is overheating, the ati's seem to run hotter than the nvidias. it happened to me, the monitor kept turning off, but he comp didnt restart, i put the computer in a place where the air can move and did some case modding. i also got some artic silver 3 and replaced the grease on the vid card and processor.

drivers

sounds more like the drivers to me try installing the drivers that came with the card as i have noticed that some of the newer ones that u get from the web site are very hardware dependent and dont always work correctly worse case uninstall and all the drivers and let xp loada windows driver on its on and see how that works out

Thank you everyone for the replies. It seemed like my heatsink was a little dirty, since I cleaned it, it hasnt rebooted by itself. I'm going to try that unistall thing for the video card if it happens again, it seems thats overheating also.

well I had to restart this thread because my problem continues. I redid the artic silver on the heatsink and the temps are now at 35C at boot time. Before were at 47C. The thing is it ran fine for a while but now the computer will restart at about every 10 minutes or so. I turned the cablem modem off, just to see if it was from the outside the the hing still restarted. The cpu fan is at full speed. The thing that happens now is the screen will turn black as if there is no connection and then the computer will restart soon after. I get no beeps and no error messages. Could the ATI Radeon 9600 overheating cause the whole system to restart? Only twice I got beeps at restart and once was a really fast beep that lasted for a few seconds. My ps is an Antec with 400w. Sorry if Im throwing info out since I have to type fast before teh next random restart. Also I have a large fan blowing on the sytem the whole time, it doesnt really hit the graphics card. But now I will install my Geforce 2 MX see if the prob will continue after this.

I installed the Geforce 2 mx and still doing it. I uninstalled the ATI drivers and everything. Now I guess its down to memory or motherboard. I keept trying to scan for viruses but necer get enough time. Can Crucial memory go bad like that in less than a year?

After a long series of tests, I finally found out that it as my PS the Antec 400w thats just less than 6 months old. I bought it to replace this Raidmax that came with the case that kept giving me errors about my BIOS not being ACPI compliant. But it only give me that error half the time I boot up. Either way the computer has been working fine for more than 24 hours on this low end PS. I bought Antec because thats what I've seen numerous amounts of people recommend on this forum, I guess never again. Its still under warranty so I'll be contacting Antec to get it fixed.
