saving windows updates

I guess what I mean is that after the many hours downloading updates, and they're all in my add/remove folder, I would hate for something to happen and have to go through it all again. Is there some way to save all of them to disc and then install them again if my system crashes? I know that Microsoft has some of the packs on disc for a charge, but was just wondering if I could bypass them and do it for myself?

when you download a file, you should have it saved in a folder, just copy the downloaded file from that folder to the cd

When you are notified of a new update, click on the 'more info' link and follow from there.

Sometimes you have to wade thorugh a few screens, but you should find a way to downloading the update as an executable file.

If you have specific updates that you want to find, you might look in the TechNet section of the MS site:

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/

You should be able to find most of the updates there.

HTH,

David.
