Win XP 32 or 64 bit?(how do you know?)

Win Xp Home Edition

Regarding this latest 'worm' and the associated patch for it---how does one know what 'bit' version of XP you have? Where can you look for this? Are most systems 32 bit? I also have a laptop that has Win Xp Pro. Any difference??

thanks in advance!

Bruce

Yeah, I was wondering about the 64-bit edition of XP too. I didn't think there were any 64-bit windows O/S's yet as the 64-bit CPUs have yet to come into the market. I also thought that longhorn was going to be the first windows 64-bit O/S.

It would be the same patch. There is a 64-bit edition of XP (Pro only I believe), but you would have specifically ordered it to get it... cost quite a bit more too.

But we're talking OS... not CPU.

Yeah but I misread force_flows post. I thought it said no 64-bit cpu have come out yet. My mistake.
